"Hope For Haiti" Telethon Brings Out Musical Greats and Raises $57 Million

The "Hope For Haiti" telethon took over the television sets of millions of viewers nationwide Friday night, January 22nd. The two-hour television event was aired over multiple networks and featured a combination of musical heavyweight performances and over 100 celebrities answering phones in New York and L.A.

Performances included Alicia Keys opening the show with her "Prelude to a Kiss," Beyonce singing her hit "Halo," Justin Timberlake and his artist Matt Morris teaming up for Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," Jennifer Hudson covering the Beatles' "Let It Be," Jay-Z, Rihanna, and U2's Bono performing their Swizz Beatz produced collaboration, "Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)," and Wyclef Jean closing out the show with his rendition of "Rivers of Babylon."
